The extensive educational and career backgrounds of the Center's trainers provide your hypnosis & NLP training with an added depth of supporting expertise which is unmatched by most other hypnosis trainings. Unlike most hypnosis instructors, your trainers have backgrounds in psychology as well as hypnosis, and they are each published. Each has a private practice not only in hypnosis, but also as a counselor / therapist.
Michael Nagel MA CI is a counselor, hypnotherapist, speaker, and author in private practice in Portland, Oregon.
Michael completed his Masters in Psychology with the Saybrook Institute in 1998. He received his Batchelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1975.
Michael is certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists as an Instructor of Hypnosis. Michael was taught NLP by co-founder John Grinder, and certified as an NLP practitioner in 1988 by Grinder and Delozier Associates. He also is certified by the Radix Institute as a somatic psychology practitioner, and he is a certified teacher of Focusing.
As an author, Michael’s articles and papers have been published in magazines, scholarly journals, and books including the 1977 Club of Rome Goals for Mankind and the 1998 Complete Guide to Buddhist America. Michael's website for his private practice can be viewed by clicking on the red arrow above.
Dr. Kelly Patrick Gerling MA Ph.D. is a co-author of the top-selling tape series and book NLP: The New Technology of Achievement (Nightingale-Conant, 1991 and 
William Morrow, 1994). He has also published many articles about learning, change, communication and healthy relationships. He has published many articles on health, change and development.
Kelly brings an in-depth knowledge of recent advances in cognitive science to support the training of his students. He was certified as a Certified Hypnotherapist by Gil Boyne and the Hypnotists Examining Council in 1979. He has had a private practice in hypnotherapy and counseling since then.
As an NLP trainer, Kelly worked with top NLP institutes and NLP trainers over the last three decades including: Steve Andreas, Connirae Andreas, John Grinder, Judith DeLozier, Charles Faulkner, and Lara Ewing. He has both a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Human Relations and General Counseling. Guest Lecturers also are invited to provide your training with specialized knowledge. Occasionally the Center will host workshops and specialized trainings by hypnosis and NLP professionals from around the country.
